More of a reader than a contributor here.. had to make a post as I ran my first 10k today and obviously feel a bit chuffed!!
Completed c25k last August..quite happily running 3 times a week, mainly 5ks.. sometimes a little further, sometimes not so far!! I recently thought about upping the distance a bit when my running brother suggested doing a longer run once a week using time rather than worrying about distance. I did, and today was an hour run ,I got to just over 9k, I just couldn't resist carrying on ! 65 minutes and 18 seconds I completed My first 10k!!
Never thought I'd be a runner at 49, probably the fittest I've ever been too!!
Now to find my badge!
Well done and thank you to all the inspirational people on here π
