I am 'running' my first 10k event this morning at Preston. I have only ever run 9k as my furthest distance so far. Very nervous but I am after that medal! ๐Ÿ˜„ If I have to walk a bit I don't mind๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Morning Halfpint!

This is so exciting. Dont worry about that extra 1k, the race adrenaline will get you there. If you have run 9k you can definitely cover the 10k. Just remember not to set off too quick and then head for the bling. We will want photos of course ๐Ÿ˜€ Enjoy!

Wow, you must be so excited. I am sure that you will be able to cover 10km. Just make sure you donโ€™t set off too quickly, as itโ€™s easy to get caught up along in the rush of all the speedy experienced runners. Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ll be great. Good luck.

All done and got the bling ๐Ÿ˜Š unfortunately I had a fight with a tree branch at 5km, the branch won. So I did a sort of hobbily walk/run for the second 5km. Now sporting a rather swollen knee and a fetching ice pack. But it was worth it! Chip time was 1:15:30 so not too bad considering!

Well Done Halfpintgill, a good time considering your 2nd half was not at normal pace. I hope your knee feels better soon. Nice to get some bling. Does this count as graduation or are going to do 10K again without the branch?
