Feel so sorry for you... The physio sessions will help. Can you do other types of exercise like swimming while recovering? I had one a few years ago and with massages and physio exercises, it healed over a few months. But the sports doctor also offered to inject some anti-inflammatory (I had a small pocket of liquid in the muscle because of the inflammation). I preferred to wait before the injection. In the end, I didn't need the injection. Be patient...
Sorry to hear this Catbee. I can imagine how disappointed you are. Maybe you will be able to do some other exercise while you're waiting. There's bound to be a plus side somewhere: perhaps you'll read more books or take up painting ... good luck.
Huge sympathies. I had hip cspsulitis a few years back - and following Physio instructions meticulously (setting beepers every few hours to remind me to do v simple exercise) worked really quickly. Different to bursitis I think hopefully quick to cure.
