What was meant to be a 5K had to be curtailed due to tightness in Hamstrings to both legs. This could be due to the injury or maybe the strengthening exercises I’ve been doing on the instructions of the Physio?.... who am I to know, I’m still a learner πŸ™„

I’ll find out when I see her on Thurs 😊🀞

Thanks Flick, The fact it’s both legs, I’m hoping it is the effect of the exercises 😊

Fingers crossed for Thursday Ted...

As a side note, when I was doing Rignolds squat challenge, the extra muscle work affected my running.. so it may be down to the strengthening exercises..

Good luck 😊xx

Yes I had this from my physio exercises too.

It has come good now but what I did (and still do), was remain mindful when stretching not to β€˜over-stretch’ ...... guarding against making the no pain no gain assumption mistake made by many of us. I also stretched really regularly, after any walk or run, several times a day.

However, first of all I rested the hamstrings for a few days then when the pain had subsided I began the gentle stretching. My physio also massaged the area.

Good luck Ted.
