I’m out! no running for a while, it’s not running related but I’ve some health challenges that are very painful and very tiring.
I’ll pop in every so often to cheer you all on but it’s unlikely I’ll be able to run and if i do it’ll be very slow and very short, when i’ve overcome these i’ll run again because i so enjoy running and can’t believe this is the end
Take care all and run strong

I am so sorry to hear this WillowandSola. You are a strong person - you have proved that over the last two years. Good luck with whatever it is you are dealing with. We will miss you, but I know you’ll be back. Lots of hugs sent along the coast.
Hi SueAppleRun , that's not good news. You're always so supportive and kind, I wish you strength and positivity to overcome whatever it is you're facing. Be kind to yourself too, you deserve it.👍 😘
Sorry to read this.. hope the medics can help sort it out for you. I’m sure everyone on here will miss you and look forward to your return. Your posts are always so upbeat and you seem to work so hard as well as fitting in your runs. Time to rest and take care of yourselves for a while. Wishing you better times soon and sending hugs and healing thoughts from the Yorkshire coast 🤗
So very sorry to hear this Sola, you're going to be missed by your Strava buddies too. Wishing you all the best and a return to good health and running again soon. Take care x
I’m so sorry to hear your news Sola, I so enjoyed reading your posts and trying to keep up with you! I hope that after a period on the IC you’ll be back lacing up those trainers again! Our runny meet up might be on hold for now but it’s still in my diary so don’t forget! Sending a big hug from this end of the coast and wishing you both all the best.
Thanks, yes we will get that run in together one day and I feel the hugs 🤗
I hope that your problems are soon resolved and that you will be on the mend before too long. Running might need to be on hold but it is something to be looking forward to in the future.
Sorry to hear this Sola, you've been such a consistent & supportive voice during my running journey. Thank you.I hope you are able to get back to running at some point and that Willow takes good care of you!
Sorry to hear you have health issues, no fun. Hopefully they are bearable, despite giving you no chance to run. And hopefully they will be over sooner rather than later!
Oh Sola, sorry to hear about your health challenges and hopefully you will get back to full health soon. Your posts are always so positive and uplifting.Take care and best of luck.
So sorry to hear. You’re a legend on this forum. You know you could master the art of the Virtual Virtual Run. Close your eyes and put yourself out there, trainers on, pounding the pavement and trails. Think thru how you feel, when you speed up, take the hills, jump over a puddle, push through for that last 1km…. Apparently when we think about doing something physically, that part of our brains that fire up when we really do it, also fire when we are thinking thru the motions. You could yet do the most fab runs! You have the memory of your runs, so close your eyes and get out there! Happy VV running and get well soon.
Very sorry to hear this Sola. Like everyone else, I'll miss your posts which are always such a source of inspiration. Wishing you all the very best. Take care ❤️
Another of your readers is wishing you all the very best. Be as kind to yourself as you always are to others and fingers crossed that you won't get too frustrated by being 'out'. Big Hugs to you
Thank you, I was actually thinking I could do a little run or walk Wednesday but now due to staff sickness i will be working, mind you i’m off most of next week so someone else will have to pick up the cover shifts 😊one slight benefit for not being very well is it won be me and if they decide to operate i could be off a while and should at least be able to walk
So sorry to hear about your health issues sending you hugs. Take care and heal quickly. Make yourself comfy on the I C the runs will wait till your all better.
So sorry to hear your news. I wish you the very best of everything. You have been an inspiration and so supportive. Look after yourself - those runs will be waiting for you whenever you are ready again.
My one fear is not being able to run so as long as i hold on to the positive of coming back and running life is ok and I’ve been lucky with health up to now
I too was hoping for tea and today my boss brought me several cups, which was nice as i certainly didn’t have time to stop and make tea ☕️ we do tend to take in turn though mostly
Oh Sola, I am so sorry to read you are out for a while. I love reading your posts and looking at your lovely photos from over the other side of the Downs from me, recognising some familiar places where you run and learning about others. I hope you can enjoy some walks there for a while and that those walks help as you deal with what is happening. Meanwhile I shall keep the cushions plumped up for us both on the IC, pop the kettle on and hope we can still catch up on here every once in a while.
Thank you 😊 Hidden how lovely to be comfy with a virtual running buddy, it’s great that we don’t run so far apart. I’m off on a jolly on monday to Chichester and hopefully will get some answers then, I haven’t been for many walks because just as I was about to say I can’t cope and need to go off sick yet another colleague beat me to it so we’ve been desperate and being busy stops me from dwelling. Kettles on 😀 hugs are always welcome and hugs back at you
Hopefully your appointment at the end of March, will give you some more information! Good to know that you are managing to walk a little too, and good to know that you have good company now, with you on the IC x
Gosh! This is not the news that we wanted to hear and I hope that your health issues, do start to ease and improve so that at some point, you will be able to re start your runs.
Are you able to keep up some form of gentle exercise to keep your body moving however gently?
We are here for you, and will be very glad to see you, whether you are running or not and I will be delighted to give you a permanently reserved cushion in the Catch-Up Corner.
You know that I had a massive blip in October 2020 and although it was a combination of mental and physical problems, I did feel that I would never run again. Your issues are clearly different, but try to stay positive and know that as ever, the runs wait.
They and we will still be here when you are ready...do stay in touch with us please?
Thanks Oldfloss 😀 gentle exercise is a bit of a laugh because i had to get up off the IC and work back to back shifts this week so there’s not much gentle about it, but off after today, I’m managing the pain a little better now so might just go for a walk in the woods or a little run tomorrow, just in case as i’m seeing the specialist on Monday, I was very low but these cushions help, I might never want to get up again but come in here to read posts and get inspiration from them Sola x
