Ha! I have managed to avoid the Oxford shop. However, I caved and bought leggings and vest from Tikiboo today. Oh, dear, Im an addict. I have five pairs of running leggings and another on the way.x

Haha

Mr W nearly had a heart attack when he saw the prices.....I had to take him to a pub to recover🏃🏾‍♀️🍺👍

I lookd at the prices online and nearly fainted. Oh, but they look so lovely. Anyway, you deserve them! Btw a friend’s daughter, Erica Pattison, was the model for them.

in reply to

Thank you kindly. They are really good quality and I feel like I am in this for the long haul......that’s what I told the old man anyway 😊

in reply to

Exactly 😉

I shop in Lidl 🏅 I managed to avert my eyes when I stumbled upon a Sweaty Betty in Oxford 😎 🙈🙈🙈🙈 You tell your husband - if he asks - they were £3.99 😇. In my case it’s true 😁

So, what’s in the bag then?

in reply to misswobble

I’ll have to post again 😊

The Oxford shop is the one I scurry past! I dare NOT go,inside.

I have the blue sugar skull leggings and I just love them, they make me smile every time I pop them on.😁

in reply to EB43

The nebula ones were the only ones I could match up in my size - and they had a leggings and top for £50 deal going on.I fancied the butterflies, but out of stock.

They look great and perfect for when we get some more summer.......might need to think red for my own running clothes obsession.

ah, now, I think I've got the answer to my question to your latest post! I could've bet on it though!!! No Sweaty Betty in France yet... I'll have to go to London or York if I go there in the summer. Lucky you! (I know, I can buy on the Internet but I like to see and feel and try on...)

in reply to Anthie

Ah yes. I looked on line and thought ‘I can’t justify spending that’ but then I went in and tried them on...my downfall! Really nice quality though and v stylish

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is on the other side of the Channel feeling frustrated... The Sweaty Betty gear looks so much more exciting than Décathlon and Intersport's offerings. I have to wait until I go back to the UK in September - don't dare to order online incase the sizes are wrong...

in reply to mfamilias

Well you know there has to be SOME downside to living in France :)

The sizing seems quite accurate, but once you have been and tried stuff on you will be able to order with abandon in the future

The same for me considering their prices!! I need to try them on first. Apparently Intersports is not so bad... A lady in my stretching class today had tights with a quite original pattern. Worth having a look at the shop again perhaps? And I've also been told by my coach that H&M has a running collection that is quite good quality and fun (if not very ethical but which brand is...). She also advised Undiz, underwear shop... I haven't checked yet as I'm really not a shopping girl (I just hate trying on clothes that mostly don't fit me)! If you don't want to wait till September...

OOOh, Undiz do running gear? Must get on to that :) Gémo do gear, but it's a bit too flimsy for me. I find Intersport extortionately expensive. TBH, I do most of my clothes shopping in Emmaüs and other charity shops, and hate high-street shopping unless I can't do otherwise.

I assure sceptical husband and daughter that my (utterly comfortable, flattering) leggings inspire me to get out there, but really it’s guilt if I don’t :-)

in reply to SusieHicks

I just realised my trainers don’t go with my new gear...sigh

in reply to

You know what to do. You can never have too many pairs of running shoes. Besides, it’s beneficial for your legs to rotate them 😊😊

Matching essential, obvs :-)

Where in York ? I was there last Saturday and never saw it ?

in reply to

Stonegate, near Whitestuff and Cath Kidston

in reply to

Thank you , will definitely be having a look next time I go into town 👍🏻

in reply to

It will be your downfall.....

in reply to

I will take a chance 😉
