... well, one hill in particular. But it looks really steep. And you have to go up it *twice* π°π¬π±π¨
(Also, I'm not sure that several glasses of a very nice Amarone della Valpolicella and a rather drinkable Barolo was the best preparation for Parkrun. π·π·)
Oh dear.

Hi, I do Lloyd Parkrun regularly. πββοΈWeβve got a steep hill too and have to go up it twice. It was quite daunting π³when I first came across it and I walked up it on both laps on the first few runs. Then I ran up up once and walked the second time for the next few Parkruns. Now I run up it every time, although quite slowly!π
Just take your time, and donβt be afraid to walk if you find you have too. π Good luck and let us know how you get on ππ
You'll be fine: shorten stride, lean into it, small steps, like a kind of staccato plod. Just take your time. It's easier to keep running, even below walking pace, than to start again after walking. but if you have to walk, you won't be the only one.
I use a cycling tip which is to focus your eyes on the road just ahead donβt look ahead at whatβs to come this stops the internal negative chatter getting to you. Also Parkrun says itβs not a hill itβs a flat upward section!!π
