10k in Snow, rain and wind

Woke up to a snow covered ground, oh dear I thought running 10k in this. Got to Chester and no snow but rain and wind. 4,000 runners and little old me plodded on up hills and down hills for the whole 10k, bit tough to say the least. Finish line in sight so a bit of a sprint, official chip time of 1hour 3 minutes and 32 seconds, was really chuffed at this result. On a high, so going out for tea and a big glass of wine. Lovely bling and goody bag from the sponsors Aldi, thanks Aldi.

I'm with you on this. Some people just seem to have that ability to maintain the speed I can only do in the last 100 m for a whole race. But then we have years of wisdom instead - it's got to be worth something!

It really is a good time though. I wonder what proportion of the country, at any age in life, and in perfect conditions, can run 10Km in about an hour?
