A little run in the hills

Had a weeks break from running and wasn’t planning to resume until I was back home in Cardiff but the mountains tempted me out this morning and I managed a very slow 5k running through the old slate quarry with beautiful views of the mountains. I ran with my OH and he managed to slow down to my pace and even encouraged me up some pretty steep parts. Left my phone in the cottage so we could run ‘naked’ (OH alarmed when I suggested naked running 😳😂) first time I’ve ran without listening to music or stories but it was great to just soak up the breathtaking surroundings and even managed a little chat with OH!

Passed a few of the wild Dinorwig mountain goats, busily chomping up the woodlands (which is infuriating the locals) and they really weren’t bothered by our presence so managed to get a few photos.

Take that back!! Sarah is lovely and she's no goat... :-)

That animal thing in the pic looks dead scary tho. I'm glad it's just a cardboard cutout or I might have screamed and soiled myself :-)

😂 it wasn’t as scary as the irate local who berated me for photographing it - encourages them apparently!! The locals want them culled again because they’re eating everything!

Let me get this straight... Goats are encouraged run amok and eat things because they get photographed occasionally? It's a weird world we live in :-)

Thank goodness they haven't discovered selfies yet....

There's a challenge in there. A complete post with a narrative told only by using emojis.
