Can anyone give me some advice on running in warmer weather? The last 3 runs I've done have been in sunshine (in Scotland) & I really struggled. Given that it should get warmer how does everyone cope? I was wearing a short sleeve top with light jacket & each time had to stop to remove the jacket.

hehe i'm from Elgin in Morayshire originally and my family are mostly from east dunbartonshire so I know well what the weather is like, it's either "taps aff it's summer" for 1 day of the year or "oh me gad it's reet pishing it doon, totally cats an dugs like" the rest of the year lol
Tie a light top or jacket around your waist if you want some reassurance and eventually you will get fed up of it being there and leave it at home. Make sure you put on some SPF, even when it is chilly or cloudy.
A run jacket is so light it’s only like a scarf round your middle but you can pop it back in for the walk home, or if it suddenly starts tipping it down. You get cooler once you’ve stopped running
Ha- it's supposed to be Autumn here and it is still 30C+ and 85% humidity!!! I am going to buy a USB powered fan for use on the treadmill in my airconditioned local gym.
Personally I find it so much harder in the heat. Anything over 7 or 8 degrees I find its shorts and vest for a faster run and a slightly longer top for a slow or long run. Keep trying different things till you find what suits you. I dont know your body type but a tube of Bodyglide never goes amiss too.
Thanks ju-ju I'm definitely going to try no jacket next time then experiment with sleeve lengths. I look like a lobster when I finish 😄I've yet to try shorts 🤔
