Hoping to get back to 10k this week, had some quick runs and some snow runs but nothing over 5k and I have had some walk breaks which I haven't done for months. The walk breaks crept in because my pace went up so much I thought it made sense to cope with it by walking a little but still having an overall faster time. But I find walking is so tied up mentally with failing a run(yes I know we don't use that word) it negatively affects my ability to start and keep going. So need to get out tuesday night and keep the pace nice and slow, maybe even leave the garmin behind and just run unencumbered by that little time demon for a change.
Don't know how I will feel about having no evidence of a run, will be like it never happened....
Not been running since 22 Feb but I started antibiotics for my pesky 2-week sinus infection yesterday so hopefully back out pounding the pavements later this week
I've been stretching and rolling my piriformis for over a week now. It's not aching any more, I'm beginning to think I might try a little trot in the next few days. Nothing much, just a small test. The view from the IC is a bit boring, but I don't want to overdo it or I'll be stuck here even longer.🙈
My last excursion was almost 2 weeks ago and didn't go well. Going to attempt a little trotette in a while. I think it's common to feel a bit nervous about starting out again, so I won't wander far... I promise. 😉
...I'm back! Still not properly fixed up yet, but I took it really slowly. I passed a tree stump which smiled at me as I plodded past. There's nothing like a bit of encouragement is there? 😀 I'm just so relieved to have that first outing over with. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to go out more often but for 2.5k-3.5k plods. 🤔
