Hi all,

I know I should see my Dr if I’m overly concerned, which I’m not.

I also appreciate this is a slightly medical question. But due to your experience & knowledge thought I’d ask for your opinions.

I’ve lost nearly 3 stone & dropped 4 dress sizes & am now a 10-12. My body has changed a lot!!

I’ve been running since July (started with C25k) I now run 5-8k three times a week. Just recently after a run I have an ache I’m my lower tummy (feels like I’ve done 100 sit ups)

Is this in anyway normal? Could it be my weak core or my undiscovered tummy muscles trying to tone up?? Lol

It diminishes during rest day then starts up again sometimes during my run but always after.

It’s not bad enough to warrant painkillers etc

Just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar? I have had 2 c sections?!

Thanks in advance all!

Our insides do take a bit of a battering when we run so it might just be that. As you say, it could be your core. Pilates will work wonders to strengthen the core so definitely worth doing.

Your lower abdomen muscles are working! Try varying your route

I’m doing Jillian Michaels dvd at home to tough me up and a beginners yoga dvd to help me balance up Walking the neighbour’s dog today and he pulls my insides out 🙄 we have to get strong in our core and shoulders as well as legs It’s all Good

if you’ve lost all that weight it helps tone up

Well done on your weight loss. Feels good does it it 👍😃🏃‍♀️

I've had an ache similar to period pain after runs where I have tried hard but it's only lasted 10 mins or so, I've always guessed it was muscle working more from swinging my arms. Maybe yours is that but not sure! !! ? ?
