Well, what a funny, busy week. Iβve been back in the gym, so aching rather, especially my top half, but itβs so good to be back. Iβve been going for over 30 years, and itβs my home from home where the world gets put to rights. Itβs been a bit difficult to fit the running in too, especially as I did something to my calf last Sunday. I therefore decided to take a four day break, my longest ever! Anyway, I set out with slight trepidation this morning - how would the calf feel, how would my breathing be after a small break, etc. And I had the MOST enjoyable run Iβve had in ages. The sun is out, my water meadows route was lovely and quiet. It was one of those runs where it all made sense, and I know why I do it. Just over 5k and I feel ready to face the world and do some work! Happy Friday all ππββοΈπββοΈ.
A Joyful Run π: Well, what a funny, busy week... - Bridge to 10K
A Joyful Run π
I bet your happy to be back in the gym πAnd good to be running as well.
I think a few days break can be good sometimes !
I had a 5 day break then did the most enjoyable 10k π
Glad you enjoyed your run ππ
Those runs are just the best!
Be careful with that calf though - listen to your body and, take it form me, definitely don't try and run through any major discomfort. Nag over!
What a lovely post..you really enjoyed that π
Lovely to read this post! I admire you for going to the gym.
With a 4 day break from running, you wouldnβt lose any fitness and as Instructor57 says, itβs sometimes a good idea, like pressing a βresetβ switch! Well done for your joyful 5K! πππ
Well done for getting out running ππ» Letβs hope the weather stays nice and there are plenty more enjoyable runs to be had π€π»
Sounds like a great run. A small break and some good weather - perfect. And a water meadow which is, hopefully, drying out enough to avoid wet feet?
It does sound like a βjoyful runβ π. It made me feel relaxed just reading it π Hope you slip into a new routine soon. Itβs hard to fit things in with work. It would be so much easier if they didnβt keep making us go π
