I'm never going to do C25,K. And I no longer fancy doing halfs ,but I have a certificate for a 5 k. Circa 1983 showing 19 mins and ,15 secs plus another for hill running in Scotland also have my Parkrun barcode. I must have graduated to something !!!!!!!!

Dare I say it? The thing is, you may have been able to run a really fast 5k 35years ago but that doesn't mean you're a c25k graduate. To graduate, you have to do the programme, just like you wouldn't be a graduate from a university unless you did the work. Just my opinion, and I'm definitely not the boss here. Perhaps one of the administrators can give you a definitive answer.
Edit: suspect you're way quicker and fitter than me but I still think to be a graduate you have to actually, well, graduate.
As AncientMum says.. the program we follow is to be able to run for 30 mins non-stop ( or 5k for some) from not being able to run at all. Hence Couch to 5k. I think you are reading it as 25k !!
I believe that we only celebrate the graduation of runners who complete the 9 week couch 2 5k plan.
Your comments are extreamly valid ladies . For the past twelve months I have acted as a sweeper for NWR on numerous occasions including for those in training for the Robin Hood half marathon. The post was a little bit tongue in cheek. I am running with some of your friends this weekend at Thorseby. Some are graduates.
I never got a graduate badge even though I did the C25k and applied for one so I didn't even bother asking for a 10k one. Maybe it's because my starting point wasn't really a couch either - a bike saddle or a swimming pool maybe, but never a couch!!!
Gabby08 i see a badge on C25k against your name. It doesn’t show up on the 10 k forum
Also please ask for the 10k badge......I for one find it so helpful and encouraging when reading posts to know how others are progressing 😃
Mike1942 if you do the 9 week C25k programme you graduate the programme......you could do that by sounds of it! If you run a 10k you may be able to apply for a badge, but it is for the admin team to confirm.
Ps Mike I’m hoping to run/ walk the Weekend event....got the go ahead from my physio but I will see how it goes between now and then 👍🏼
I have just had a look and you do have a graduate badge next to your name on the C25K forum, we do try and make sure that everyone who asks for one receives their virtual badges. Here is the link if you were ready for the 10km badge on this forum.
Everything on these forums are run on an honour system. If you were on the C25K forum and are doing parkruns you could have a graduate badge on there. If you have done a 10km then you can apply for your 10km badge on here.
