I finally did it after so many years of wanting to. My watch was playing up a bit and I wound up going further than I intended (starting to think it has it in for me), but it is DONE!! And I am feeling good!
Thank you so much to the people that offer ongoing support from day one. I never would have completed this without the support of this wonderful group.

That is so great!!! Way to go!Another goal completed ✅ . I feel like that is so far away for me, but I've given myself a December 1 goal date so I still have lots of time to join the club . Time to get out for a 6k run this morning 😅
It's close Sask - As long as we stay in the habit of running without hurting ourselves it is close....best of luck this morn and December is do-able if the weather stays on your side. And thank you!
Brilliant. Delighted for you Decker. It has been great following your steady success. You have done it the right way. Congratulations. I'm going out this evening to give 7K a go. Hopefully in a month from now I'll be joining the 10K club too.
I know you will Damien - slow and steady as Floss says, and it's yours.
Thanks mate - we are getting there! I've got to spend some time consolidating 10s now - at least I think that's whet you do next? And hills - I go out of my way to steer away from hills, but I know I have to deal with them sooner or later.
Congratulations! You have done really well and perseverance has paid off. Enjoy some celebrations and then consolidate the distance while you consider your next goal!
Thank you kindly. I have one last week of just 10s to close up the program and then I'm going to probably ease off a bit and work on nice 5s and more comfortable occasional 10s. I miss the stamina podcast! Maybe sign up for a 10k race in the spring if all goes well. After that, I'm not sure...
Thank you so much Floss. Every time I am out, your quiet, sound advice is running through my head. Could not have got here without your help :). Seriously - I tried the program before on my own and let life get in the way after the 5k point and 5 years slid by. Not this time though The structure of my life is different now too and has allowed me the luxury of time I didn't have the first time around in my younger years.
I was thinking of working on 10 for awhile - getting more comfortable with it, like I did with the 5 and then doing 5s and 10s during the week - maybe a 10 race in the spring? Then maybe go forward from there. Wonder if there are an 10+ podcasts? I miss Laura.
Out for drinks on Wed I think I may have convinced at least a couple of my friends to try out C25K as well! This running thing makes one a little evangelical.
Yes - already on it! Hopefully they have some spares.
Thank you Jan, you are very kind 😊. I had my treats on Wednesday night out with some friends. Maybe a couple too many treats 😊. So Thurs morn was a little slow.
And YES you can do this. I will be following your progress. All the best with the new 10k program!
Woohoo! Many congratulations Well done, it's a great milestone - or should that be kilometerstone? No, probably not! A super pace too - now go get that badge and plan what's next
Thank you Iannoda for this and for your sensible advice along the way. I am convinced it kept me from injury up to this point. The running horizon does seem broader now and its time to sit down and decide on possibilities now. Just going to enjoy it for the next little while I think
