Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going,

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju and Realfoodieclub

Pah, husbands... I went out running this morning without any expectation listening to the Sammi wk1 podcast. I started running through the warm up and kept going...chose a new route as I ran and at the second 10 mins done I turned and ran back... I felt good 20 mins into the run and it felt like I was running quicker. Kept going and ran the next two 10 mins and a bit more...total run time about 50 mins. Felt very chuffed as I turned off the Strava and walked home...

Imagine my dismay to find the recording had stopped after 31 mins..the reason...my hubby has downloaded glimpse onto my phone and had checked to see where I was...this must have affected Strava😯..its nice to be worried over but not at the expense of some hard earned stats πŸ˜† Now I will have to do that run again on Thursday to see how many kms I clocked up..πŸ˜…

Noooo! It's annoying that some apps seem to affect others, but this is particularly irritating!

Urgggg I hate it when that happens!! You can edit the run on Strava - I've done it before when my Garmin ran out of juice!!!

Take 2. I repeated Mondays run tonight with no interuptions to my Strava recording. I was a bit faster.

5.7k run in 47.5 minutes.

Yeah, I'm pleased..but😯

I had felt I had run further than that...why are we never satisfied...I was chuffed to do 5k a few weeks ago..πŸ˜‰

Stepping Stones... Epic fail.

Graduated C25K on Saturday and thought I'd start Stepping stones. I'm so used to the slowly slowly approach that the frenetic pace I was running at beat me. I got to 16.30 mins and packed it in. I didn't even cool down. Just got back in the car and went home. Now what? Gutted.

Don't worry about it, you still ran for over 16 minutes...

Best to just keep up the 30 mins 3 times a week as you get stronger and because you can.

You can try the c25k+ podcasts in a few weeks if you want to.

Don't panic.... well done on graduating. Consolidate the 30 minute run for a while before you think of next steps.... don't be dismayed it's not for everybody...

Just a little report about my activity since the Marple 10K - in case you start to think I have peaked and decided to retire :)

I took Monday off then did a gentle run on the Wednesday, about 40 minutes just under 5km I think because I included my warm up and down when I set the Garmin.

On Friday we did a fair amount of walking around Ripon, then on Saturday went to Fountains Abbey for the parkrun and spent the rest of the day there - tired legs after that.

On Sunday we drove to Whitby and went for a short walk along the promenade. Monday we ran on the promenade then walked along the beach to Sandsend. Tuesday we walked along the beach into Whitby and up the steps to the Abbey.

After all that I needed to rest an achy knee for a couple of days before Tailwalking on Saturday at our home parkrun. 51 minutes so not at all strenuous.

So on Monday I wasn't planning anything in particular, but I want to continue building up my pace and stamina with Polyrunner. I put that on hold before the race because I wanted to make sure I didn't run it too fast.

So off I went with Polyrunner 162 and it was really good, I did 40 minutes. I even included a little hill.

Sorry, that wasn't such a little report after all!
