Hi. Part way through week 5 of Juju's plan. Just the 8k to go. Had good 4 and 5k runs...think the cooler temps have helped! Wasnt sure i would enjoy doing longer distances but just loving running and feeling stronger 😀💪🏃♀️
It’s the big one in the morning, week 8, Run 3 of Ju-Ju’s Plan. The 10k 😳
Bit nervous, and a bit unsure of what the future will bring afterwards. I have already run this distance, so I know I can grind it out, but I’m hoping it will be a bit more enjoyable this time. I’m working towards a 10k race at the end of November and don’t currently have any plans to run further, just hoping I don’t loose my way without the structure of a Plan.
Thanks you two, all done, no great dramas other than a shoelace coming undone less than 1km in. Tried a slightly different route so I didn’t get too bored doing 4 laps of the lake and caught a refreshing short sharp shower around 3k to go. 1:15:25. 🙂🏆🏃🏻♂️💥💨
Hi, still enjoying every minute.Putting in more time for specific exercises, strengthening and stretching is proving challenging but I'm determined to help my body become one that can do 10k in the future, preferably laughing all the way!
I've now done parkrun three weeks in a row and completely changed my opinion of it. I did my first run in March and hated the cattle market element of it - so crowded and difficult to run at the pace I wanted to at the start. Now I take a different view. The crush at the start stops me going off too fast so I am following the rule of racing that the second half should be faster than the first. Since the change of attitude I enjoy it a lot more.
Hi. Back to my usual routine this week . 3 runs .longer run on Friday.. another 12Km ish, goal is to get to 10 miles or 16Km ish by October ..
Notice the mornings and evenings are darker .. autumn is on its way ..time to check head torch and high viz etc
Off to look for new shoes and hydration vest this week and anything else that takes my eye in the store 😁😁
