Hello everybody and welcome to Monday.... its a new day, a new week and a new opportunity to be determined to reach our goals... lets do this.....go!!
I have spent the weekend running in the woods which is my favourite happy thing to do.
Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week. Please join in the discussion
If you're new or a lurker this is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.
Have a great week, and enjoy your runs

Completed week 2 but with no long easy run this week.3x5ks mainly speed, Roseabi’s Speed challenges. lol.
Hey Ju, it’s true, their is no fool like an old fool.
Last week of the speed challenge then back to my distance goals.Long run end of this week, promise, providing I do not need to post a world record to win this speed challenge. lol.
Atb to the forum.run because we can.Have a good week.
Going to have to freestyle week 2 of your plan again this week ju-ju- as on Wednesday I am going to join a session with my local running club - I'm ridiculously excited I thought they only ran things in the evenings and weekends which are difficult for me but turns out there are regular runs on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
I've done the 5k (Parkrun PB 🎺🎆🍾) and the 3k of this week but have literally no idea what we will do at the club!
Bit worried this week about the heat and being able to fit runs in when it's not absolutely boiling. I have to leave for work at 6:30 as I have a big commute so getting up to run in the morning would mean ridiculously early Might have to do all my runs in the dark of the evening this week after 10pm
yes tuesday, wednesday ,thursday and sat/sun but not today or friday cross my heart tomorrow is 5k so as long as i'm out the door at 5:30 I can probably turn it all round in time, and then just yoga in the evening sheesh.
This week will be looking for a half marathon plan or at least a plan to increase my distance from my current 2 x 6.5k and 1 x 10k... I could just work up 10% on each of these but want to research something more structured... joined the Marathon forum although I feel a little bit of an interloper so will look at some of the threads over there.
Hope everyone is coping well with running in the sunshine, good idea to have a shady run in the woods, I might have a go at that later in the week.
I went for my week 2 run 1 (3k intervals) after the school run at 9am today, it was very warm and my legs were still aching a bit from Saturday circuits so I didn’t improve my speed/time but I ignored the voice in my head that was telling me not to run and I’m glad I just got out there and did it anyway 💪😊
Well my week has started well and got my 5st weight loss certificate today 😀. Plan this week is to fit in a 10k run and knock some more time of my pb 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️💪💪💪💪
Felt good today so my magic 10 wk2 6k run ended up as my longest ever 7k / 55minute run!
ASBO the dog managed it fine without having completed any of the previous training, my new solar flouro shirt from the Adidas incognito range looked good in the sun and no ambulance needed! Can’t believe only 5 weeks ago I was crying myself to sleep about the thought of c25k wk5r3 effort - now 7k! Just can’t quite believe it!!
Out early this morning before it got really hot for a 4k, felt good. Nice and quiet at 7am. Did a 5k on Sunday, no walk breaks, again that felt good. My previous leg niggles seem to have gone, really pleased about that! 😀
After a long and tough, not to mention hot! day at work I wasn't sure how much I had in me.
I chose to travel to a local point on the South Downs Way in the hopes there would be some breezes up on the ridge.
Got the other half out too on his bike so he did a 14mile ride whilst I did 10k. Really pleased and proud I can actually run for over an hour on trails like these. Never ever would have imagined that just 6 months ago.
Hi ju-ju-, I ran a bit later than I hoped on Monday morning so it was a bit hot, but at least we have a sea breeze here. I made 4.5k so I’m very happy with that.
I am going to do a 30 min run tomorrow or Thursday and then Parkrun on Saturday . As I walk to the Parkrun I might try running from the start this time, what do you think?
Week 2 completed last night at 10pm (kids finally got to sleep). I was quite grateful it had cooled down a bit and being Friday night I felt a little smug running past people going home with their takeaways. A beer and chocolate awaited me on my return but they don’t need to know that. It was one of those runs where even just a minute in you can feel it was going to be good. My birthday run earlier in the week was ok spurred on by my husbands retro running gift- a runners journal to fill in. Don’t get me wrong I am grateful for the support but I had to laugh at the first page which says I can run 5k in ..., 10kin ... and so on to ultra-marathon. Mmmm not sure I’m that keen- or maybe he thinks because I am out for so long I must be covering great distances!
