Had a really bad couple of weeks with regard ongoing family health concerns. I have mostly maintained running three times a week through out summer, but currently ache all over particularly my legs, so haven't run since last Tuesday.
I usually cope quite well with stress but I am wondering if these aches could perhaps be stress related so maybe I should Just .......run.
Sorry things have been hard for you Jacs. Why not just go out and try a short gentle run, with no sportwatch! Just to see how you feel. Stress affects us in funny ways so it could be this but a run might be just what you need? Good luck.🙂
Still gradually building up my running following a bout of sciatica which left my leg weak. Am now going out every other day on a short circuit. Run/walk up until today when I ran the whole thing😀 (only about 3k but progress!!) and even added on a little more. Still taking it nice and stready while I regain strength in my leg but starting to believe that I WILL get back to where I was. So a happy start to the week for me!🙂
It's a far cry from where I want to be but I loved my run this morning, so I am at peace with the world!!😇😀 Keep telling myself that a true runner doesn't give up when things are tough. I am being sensible but persistent! 😮🏃🏽♀️🙂
Back from a weeks camping where I managed to do a Parkrun at Fountains Abbey and set a PB too! Back to training this week to run off the excesses from the weeks holiday and for the Wigan 10k in Sept
I've just finished week 3 of B2 10K and am very surprised at how manageable the programme is. I thought doubling my distance would have been a lot tougher! Having been running 5K for over a year I thought I'd challenge myself with the 10K and see if it improved my Parkrun times. Needless to say, yes my Parkrun times have improved, but I am amazed at how quickly my mileage has built up over the last few weeks by just adding those few extra minutes to each run section. Yesterday I covered 5.5 miles in 55 minutes! I'm almost at 10K already. There's no doubt that these programmes work if you follow the rules. Looking forward to my 50th parkrun with hubby on Saturday.
