What is the cut off time for the event? Once you know that you will know if your current 10k time will be fast enough or not. You may shave a few minutes off at the event compared to your training time.
If you have completed 10k in training in 1hr 37 then you will be fine. No doubt you will be a little quicker as you get swept away with the other runners and cheering! Go for it.
I understand you being nervous as I was really anxious yesterday before my first 10km event. But as you've been training and you have run 7km in one hour and 37minutes you should be well within the cut off time if it's two hours.
You still have three weeks of training left as well. I adapted my usual running regime and adapted the Race for Life 10K running plan to help me work out what to do over the last three weeks. You can download it from their website if that helps.
There is one for beginners and one for intermediate.
If you've already run 10k in 1h 37m you will be fine. A reasonable walking speed is 5k per hour, so you could probably walk it in 2 hours - you really don't have to worry! Enjoy the rest of your training!
