I've seen an app that distinguishes between running and walking and logs both your warm up walk and your run but I can't remember what it's name is ? Can anyone help? I don't want to have to get my phone ( and reading glasses !) out when I switch from one to the other.

Runkeeper is one example. You can programme it with what you want to do - setting blocks of 'slow', 'steady', 'fast' by distance or time, and telling it whether you want it to include a 5 minute warm up and / or cool down or not. You can also just set it to a time, distance or pace.

Not what you're looking for?
