Yes, all of them.
Right now your running should be about relieving stress… not physically stressing you.
Your running should lift you up… not beat you up.
Your run should end with you feeling stronger… not weaker.
That distance… duration… between the starting & finish lines of your run should be the easiest part of your day.
Because life before & after the run isn’t that easy right now.
But if you can just run… or walk… or do jumping jacks… or yoga… or dance… if you can just move… you’ll be moving forward.
That’s the only metric that matters.
I’ve always told you that your running is about so much more than those numbers on your watch.
Your running is about what you get out of the time & distance those numbers represent.
I told you to bring the learnings and breakthroughs and victories you experienced and earned on the run into the rest of your life.
And I told you that If you can do that… you’ll become a better runner.
More importantly... you’ll become a better person.
I didn’t lie.
So, I want you to trust me again when I say that right now all your runs should be pretty easy.
Believe me… running easy is going to be hard enough.
But you’re a runner.
And running is not about things getting easier.
Running is about being able to get through harder & harder things.
That’s why I know we’ll get through this.
Because we’re all runners.
And that’s what we do.”
