After my horrible run last Friday I confess to not having much motivation to go out for a run until today. I gave myself loads of excuses through the week; too tired, too much work, too hot, too wet etc. This morning however, I had no excuse. Lovely morning, not to hot, gentle breeze, didn't need to start work 'til 10:00, had a good night's sleep.
I had a great run! Thoroughly enjoyed w5r3 . I still avoided the bits with no people about and had no clue where I was at one point (housing estate, big houses, couldn't afford any of them), but the running was great.
Hills shrunk before me and I only swore at one cyclist (he wasn't looking at where he was going, which was into me). Got my timing wrong again but this time I was really surprised that the TomTom watch buzzed for the end. I could have gone on and I did, but only for 1 minute, just to reach an even kilometre count. Common sense then kicked and I walked back home.
I've paid my price for having a week off. My bottom aches and I could hardly move to take the dog a walk at lunch time due to a sore knee (was the left one, but now seems to be the right one). Nothing serious, just not been active enough this week and haven't been doing my 60 lunges a day, which really, really help.
Feel all motivated now, especially as I ran 9.5 km and I still have 23 days before the RunNorwich 10 km. I think I might make it
