Completed and recorded my push-ups on the logger page for week 1. Managed to do 10 on the max you can do on D3. I use Mon, Weds & Fri which fits in nicely with my recovery day after running. Will try W2 on Mon, but even at this early stage I don't think 100 is achievable for me!

W1 done100 push-ups
I don't think you need to do 100 for it to do you good. There's a point where it's good for you and then it'snot. You don't want to hurt yourself
Hats off to you! I admire your guts. This stuff is tough. I am having trouble with some planks twists at the moment. Just off to have another go.
More power to us! We are doing what we can to get our upper bodies, middles, sides, ends, tops, bottoms in good shape to support our running legs. It had better ruddy pay off! LOL
Well Done! I assume you were doing the middle column.
I finished W1 on Wed - W2 begins tomorrow. I find it hard to believe that I will be doing 120 in a session in less than two weeks from now... Still, won't find out until I try, I guess!

I'm doing w1d2 today. Too weedy to manage the full-on press ups and knee feels too fragile to do the knee sort, so doing bench press ups. I'm still rubbish but hopefully will be less rubbish at the end of the programme.
Us injured old biddies have to take care. I had a lot of time not being able to do certain moves, so you modify as best you can without compromising the exercise. Just keep moving sorta thing. We can't bang about with our gammy leg/ankle either. We'll get there AM. We'll keep plugging away
Now off over to the new Community. See you there!
MissW I don't think you and AM are a couple of old biddies! more refined and gentle runners who have just reached your prime. 😊
Well done. Keep going
> I don't think 100 is achievable for me!
Did you think on W1 that you could do c25k? I certainly didn't.
I'm in column 1, and not doing the pushups as often as I should, but I've done w1d1 and w1d2 OK. I'll do w1d3 over the weekend and try to catch up.
I seem to have started at too high a level Although I did do 6 for the trial, the first week has been too much for me - so I will start over again on a lower level. I will continue to do the pushups on the floor
I looked at the press-ups, but thought I'd carry on (ahem - make that re-start ) the upper body strength programme my kind trainer at the local gym put together for me. It includes press-ups, but she took one look at me and said, 'You'll need to do these from an exercise ball'! It has all sorts of other stuff in there with 1kg weights progressing up to 3kg weights and takes about 20 minutes. I know when I've done it!
I am always cautious about hurting my back so I tend to try and do a sufficient number of these sorts of exercises, carefully, rather than do a load in a hurry and snap sommat!
Speaking of which, I have to run today. Last night's storms were horrendous and kept us awake all night but it's calmed down somewhat and the rain has stopped, so I can clear off now that my smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and bagels have gone down.
