Hi guys...

Haven't shared on here lately because I haven't had anything good to share. Close friends like Wendy know that Jimmy had to stop his immunotherapy treatment at the end of February. Catch 22. It seemed to be working on cancer BUT it was destroying what little liver he had left. So after discussing with his GI that he loves and trusts, he opted to stop treatment. Some that have been here for awhile know that this is actually second time he's made that decision. At the end of February, he was doing very bad, swelling in his feet and legs so badly that he basically was confined to bed, his HE was acting up like crazy, platelets were down to almost nothing. The GI said since he was stopping treatment, he recommended Hospice. We started on Hospice and I honestly thought I'd lose him any day. There's still bad days of course but he feels so much better and the quality of what life he has left is improved. He's actually felt like helping some on the garden. Whether to continue treatment has always been his decision and I've known I have to accept whatever he decides. Just cherish and enjoy our time and the good days.

Love y'all

Sharon

Somehow I missed posts here and I am catching up today. Although I realized Jimmy had stopped treatment and the leg swelling was an issue, I didn't realize things had gotten so bad for him.

Hospice is such an amazing service, from what I've heard - I'm really glad you guys have been able to take advantage of it and that it has helped Jimmy rally.

Love that picture of him! I hope for many more good days, and am always keeping you both in my prayers. One thing is for sure - you guys know how to make the most of every second of every day!

Much love,

Wendy
