Hi everyone! Today has been a good day. I finally convinced Jimmy to participate in one of the opportunities to educate about liver cancer. He's encouraged and supported me in several projects but this is first time I've actually gotten him on camera.
To make it even more special, I got to speak to Andrea during the meeting. ❤️❤️❤️ I am so thankful for everything she does for liver cancer and don't know what I'd do without the support and love received from everyone on this site.
We have an appointment with the oncologist tomorrow to discuss how he thinks the immunotherapy treatment is going. Praying that tomorrow will be a good day also. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Linda. Thank you for the prayers and encouragement. Oncologist said that it's too soon to know if treatment is working. He hopes maybe can tell something next month. But good news is that his labs were ok so can continue treatment. ❤️❤️❤️
You guys!! That picture is awesome. I love that you got to talk to Andrea too - what would we all do without her?? Hugs to all of you, and here's to more good days. 🙂
I've got my fingers, toes and eyes crossed for good news at Jimmy's oncology visit today!
xoxo,
Wendy
(in Michigan, waiting for the big warm up tomorrow ... 30 degrees! I will be in shorts! 🤣)
Hi Wendy. It was so funny because Jimmy of course didn't even realize who she was until I told him. LoL. When the meeting started and I saw her I was just blown away. So awesome to be able to tell her how much Blue Fairy has helped me.
Oncologist says can't tell yet if Opdivo is helping or not but his labs were good enough to continue treatment so he got third infusion today. Right now the main thing we're dealing with is his confusion, itchiness and sores. Having trouble keeping him from scratching and then gets them infected. I get them all just about healed and scratches them. Dr. doubled the Atarax to see if that will help. He can't give him Xanax or any benzo that would possibly help his nerves because of the fentanyl patch.
It got up to 60 degrees today and supposed to be beautiful the rest of the week... I like my heat wave better than yours. I probably will wear shorts. 😁 Love you girl! Stay warm❤️❤️❤️
Fingers crossed for continued good labs - every little bit helps!
Dave used to take showers to soothe some of the itching; he also took a medicine called Questran. He was not a fan of the texture (to put it mildly - haha) but he would blend it into smoothies and add it to farina, which helped mask it. They also prescribed something else - an antihistamine, maybe? - but it didn't really help much.
Enjoy your perfect weather!! 60 degrees is my dream temperature. 🙂 All the best to both of you!
Thank you Andrea. He got a wild hair up his butt over the weekend and shaved...his beard and moustache. I've NEVER seen him without a moustache. LoL. His face is so much thinner now and being clean shaven makes it more obvious. 💔Glad we're able to continue treatment. Hopefully will see some improvement soon.
So very glad that you can continue treatment and the side effects are ones that can be managed! And echo here thanks to Andrea for all she does to advocate and educate! She is such a blessing!!! Good for you With getting Jimmy involved! It can be empowering just to think that you’re helping!!! Continued prayers!!!❤️
Hi Sharon and Jimmy? How are you doing? I don't know if you remember me but Im the one with the spooky Nightmares. All better now because of Lactulose. Annyway I wish you two all the best and thanks for your input.
Good morning JoschuaSo glad to hear from you. Yes I remember you. Jimmy and I were just talking about you a few days ago. He had asked me if I'd heard how you were doing and was hoping we'd been able to help you. I'm so glad the Lactulose is helping. Let me know if we can help you. You are in our prayers.
