I had to go through my room and my moms room today. She lived 30 minutes away from my dad. They were divorced too. I had to see if there was anything of hers that I wanted and I had to pack all of my own stuff up. I was overwhelmed. It wasn’t easy. I’m not done either, I still have to go back and pack up the rest of it. I would rather pretend none of it exists and just leave it for later but I know I need to get it done. I’m tired of this. It’s really hard for me to do.

Hello Iris,

I think you are so very brave to do this but, hard as it is, it's something that you need to do because you need your own possessions and of course you want to have some of your Mom's too. I know you said you have no one else to do it and the problem is if you don't carefully look and take the things you'd like now, someone else may just dispose of them and you don't want that do you?

Be strong little one {{{hugs}}} if you can, go along tomorrow and try and do this in one go, so that you don't have to visit again unless you want to of course, and do let us know how you got on. I think once you have coped with this, you'll feel a little stronger to face the next hurdle.

Take good care of yourself

Chloe

I can’t go tomorrow but I’ll probably go next week sometime. I know I need to do it because people might decide what things to give away or to keep without my permission. I just don’t like it and it is so overwhelming I’ve been emotionally distraught because of it all day.

I guess you’re right but I don’t feel strong at all I feel weak and exhausted.

Hello iriss , you are so brave to be doing this right now and I understand how overwhelming and hard this must be for you. Keep going iriss, you are strong and you know none of this can be left until later. Choose what is important to you iriss.

Thinking of you, take very good care,

Hi iriss.

You did incredibly well to do what you did. In happier days that can be quite emotional but for you now it must have been extremely stressful. Do you have any moral support you can call on to keep you company during of comfort you afterwards?

If not good luck and keep on being brave.
