Losing my husband.

I have just discovered this site & would definitely like to join. I am expecting my son very shortly - he lives in America but has been on business in Rotterdam so is coming to me for a flying visit, literally. Just about to land at Cardiff Airport. However, I really hope this forum will be able to help me as I am still struggling after the shock of suddenly losing my beloved husband just two days after our Golden Wedding in August 2015. Some days I'm good & I think I give the impression that I am really coping much better than I am. As I say, my son & his family live in America & my daughter & her family live in Sussex. I am in West Wales - my daughter desperately wants me to move to be nearer to her but I don't think I'm ready for that yet. Anyway thank you for listening & I'll post again after the weekend. Helen.

Please feel free to post anytime you want or need to,! We are a very supportive family type community and are not here to make judgemental comments whatever you decide to post!

All of our members have been through or are going through a bereavement process, although their experiences & reactions may be very different!

Whoever or whatever you have lost, some individuals say it can cause a hole to be left in their heart! But we each have different feelings on how our grief affects us and our lives!

I'm sure our members who are very supportive & empathic will reply to you very soon!

Thank you Spykey for your welcome. Already I have read a post from jonnyd01 2 days ago & he absolutely sums exactly how I am feeling.I know that I am luckier than a lot of people in that I have a wonderful family & equally wonderful friends & neighbours but it still hurts so much, some days more than others. The weather doesn't help, particularly when it's heavy rain as it has been here for the past two days, but ,hey, today the sun is shining & Mark should be here soon so one of my better days. Will post again soon.
