I got a telephone call Friday morning from my oncology. urology nurse. With results of (Cystoscopy) and biopsies.
She said no new tumors but I still have CIS which is a cancer than can spread, to other parts of my body also. This was confirmed by the biopsies.
It's G2 High Grade,
I thought hear we go wanting me to have a bladder removal and associated organs. {Cystectomy)
Instead they are giving me another round of BCT Treatment, but three infusions this time, then a Cystoscopy and biopsy again.
I have had Bladder Cancer since 2020 - and after my fir FLEXIBLE Cystoscopy which diagnosed - I have no changed for better or as far as I can tell worse.
I had no official follow up this time, just a call from the nurse,
If this is new and I will be getting BSG and or Chemo - I will be pleased as I think being I have survived so long, a Cystoscopy should only be considered when - There are no other options.
It's as it goes, I am happy to be having BSG again,
Thank you all for kind support I have recieved

It is like "living on a knifes edge" Carole. The times they have been positive and then brought me down. I think my GP and my Oncology nurse seems to thing an 8 hour operation is not for me. I am happy to have this BSG but surprised, they said the last one was that, the last.
Thank you Carole - Your support over the time has been appreciated and I am rooting for you.. xx
You are obviously very knowledgeable about your condition. And have an admirable, pragmatic attitude and positivity. Well done. Looking forward to your next picture. Xxx 🧑🏻🎨
Thank you - At my age I need to know I am getting appropriate treatment, it matters to me. This was not expected, I am hoping they have developed lateral thinking x
Hi Ern007, I understand what you are saying and thank you for details about new ways of dealing with it. I have a freind who chose to have what they call a bladder scrape sounds like what you are describing some years ago. they are still with us and still have their own bladder. Hope this gives you a bit more confidence in the treatment offered. It may cause you a bit of suffering when its done but some cancers do return even after treatment sadly. All I can say is try to think positively, I have just had a return of cancer, and waiting to see a specialist . In your case would a Macmillan counsellor help if you are feeling stressed from coping with it. I wish you every best wish for as best a outcome as possible. The treatment can sometimes be more gruelling , than the illness. Pamper yourself it may distract your mind . Will keep you in my thoughts. cry or scream if you need to to release the tension. xx
Thank you. I think you was talking about an op called a TURBT ( trans urethral resection of bladder tumor.) they enter your bladder and remove any tumor. I had one 2 years ago. I was just a 24 hour stay, I have had 4 (Cystoscopy) which is like a TURBT but without the drastic bit. If they see anything they just zap it Cystoscopy is also done for taking biopsies - Home same day 99% of the time. I have a dedicated Macmillan nurse who gives the treatment, BCG is given with a catheter directly into the badder, buy I have her mobile number if I need her,
I wish you well with your cancer return -but I hope being it's a return it will be very early.
Thank you for you kind post and I wish you well. x
