BCG Finished - CT SCAN - UPDATE.

First the good news - My CT scan result I was told in clinic today shows the 6mm growth has not moved - Further scan in 6 months. So one thing for now off my mind..

So I had my last BCG of the course today, glad in a way but hope I may get back on it despite the warts with it.

So in six weeks time I will have to have a cytsosopy to see if this time the treatment has worked has worked this time.

Judging by the no growth of the growth on lung, I hope than my BC is not metastatic to my other organs.

However my BC it seems is no longer in "carcinoma in situ" as it's spread not into the muscle but into the lining. So it is metastatic....

I hope this BCG has halted that. probably wishful thinking but just maybe.

If my cystoscopy in 6 weeks shows the BCG has worked, then I will be on maintenance BSG treatments twice a year followed by other cystosopy's

If the BCG has not worked - I am open to all options, for example Radical RT with Chemo - rather than Radical Cystoscopy which is not really for me.

Timeline is - 6 weeks from now a cystosopy with biopsies followed by a follow up to Preston, to see where we go from there.

it’s good news and ok news it seems Ern. I do hope everything works out well for you and we wait to see what will happen in six weeks from now. Good luck with the cystoscopy and praying the BCG has finally worked.

Thinking of you as always.

Hugs, Carole xxx🤗🩷🤞🏼

Thank you Carole - Yes news was a mixed bag but much better than I expected, did not except my CT Scan results today. It's an important few weeks for both of us. You with RT and I with Cystosopy and hoping the end outcome will be RT with Chemo or not.

Hugs back at you Carole x

Glad the scan showed that the thing in your lungs is stable and I hope the BCG has worked. My fingers are crossed for you. 6 weeks must seem a long time to wait. xxx

Thank you I am used to waiting months at one stage. the 6 weeks is to allow time for the BCG to have affect - Thus far not third time lucky./

Thank you - I think the waiting the thinking, the wondering is as bad as the complaint - this time I think if BCG has not worked, there will be a plan, I have has good as said no to Radical Cysectomy, my health I think it would be a mistake, there are other options less drastic. xx

It's a difficult situation for you Ern with many things to take into consideration. You do seem to be coping remarkably well. I send you my very best wishes for the best outcome. Carole xx
