Hi,
January 20,2019 I got sick and began to cough. Lufu test borderline, doc says maybe pneumonia. Month went by, antibiotics, getting worse. X-ray revealed nothing. Cough gets worse, wheezing, not getting any sleep, feel like hell. CT lung, again nothing, cortisone for wheezing, feeling better, but still out of it. Two weeks later, April 10 th, my Lufu test was normal, Gastroscopy normal (not reflux issue), colonoscopy, throat endoscopy, full blood work 3 time since January, urine, kidney, liver, every test under the sun. Nothing. The results were normal but in some cases close to the border (blood, cholesterol, heart rate), but normal. I am an average middle aged man who goes to the gym 4 days a week ( three months out if the year...ha), never smoked, likes his beer, and should loose some weight. I wheeze in the evening and morning, cough a bit, take an aspirin and an hour later I stop wheezing. The preventor inhaler drives me nuts. Aspirin? My lung doctor says I have asthma, "no Aspirin, Aspirin bad, you must inhale, spray spray spray"( he's Russian). But aspirin does the trick for me. Today I go to a cardiologist. Cardiac asthma? When I do sport or ride bike, no wheezing, not short of breath, just evenings and mornings, like clockwork. EKG normal, blood pressure acceptable, resting heart rate average. The wheezing is accompanied by chest tightness and semi productive cough, just a tiny amount of phlegm, but until it's out I cough. The wheeze and cough just won't go on its own. Either one puff on the inhaler or an aspirin makes it go away quickly. When I exercise it goes away. Evenings it comes back. World's better than two months ago, but I am by means my old self.
