Just reading some blogs with a degree of sadness tonight, some of you are really going through it.
Well,I am here to let you know that things can and will get better if you believe they will. That is the secret, belief, tell yourself you can beat this anxiety thing.Unlike some mental issues,we can gain control of our anxiety, its not easy but it is possible,I am proof of that, dont get me wrong,I still have my moments like last night but I find myself able to deal with things in a positive way and minimise the effects.
I can honestly tell you that in the past month I have greatly improved and the reasons are,a positive outlook and attending group meetings to discuss my issues.Try it,I don't want to get better alone, its selfish, join me!
so glad to see a positive post,I agree, not letting anxiety stop you from doing what you want, and saying to yourself i am feeling good, really works, another thing I noticed is if im thinking about something other than myself my anxiety is nil. its hard to stay positive all the time though,I've just got over a bad 2 weeks,of having a very low mood, just when I felt i'd reached rock bottom,it started to lift,I actually felt my head clearing and felt positive again,so I have my ups and downs pretty often.and when i'm down I don't even want to be positive,I just want to be left alone, how do you cope with low moods.xx
Since feeling better,I have not allowed myself to get low,if I start to feel iffy,I laugh at myself or swear or distract myself, not always easy but so far,its working.
that's great news .positivity is the answer, so glad you have found that little chink in that horrible anxiety's armour .keep positive.and you will get there. take care.xx
You are still doing great, everyone still has their 'moments' Im sure, but you are doing well in managing your anxiety and really seem to have turned things around. More power to you!
