Hi, I lasted 3 weeks and then got a change, the anxiety was so bad, if that helps as a guideline x

side effects take time to wear off, ive been on prozac for over two years now and i still get side effects but the doc says its the anxiety so who knows. some of the side effects have gone like feeling really sick as soon as i took one. give it a chance you havnt been on them long and if you can take a painkiller to get you though then do so. x

I've been on them nearly a month and for the first three weeks didn't notice any change. It's only this week i've been able to relax and enjoy life a little again. The change is very subtle like it happened without me realizing. Then again i'm on 60mg a day so it should do something!!

Libido is a big issue with SSRI's for me.

Ditto, although this may be my personal issues too, its hard to tell. I can honestly say id rather gauge out my own eyes than have a man go anywhere near me any time soon... like i said, personal issues! x

First two weeks (back in Oct) were hell on earth, i wouldnt have got through them without moving in with a friend but after that i can honestly say they're the reason im still breathing. Make a very honest list of the side effects you're experiencing, how often and when, and take them to the GP with you and go through them. I trust science implicitly but looking back i think maybe a diff med would have been better for me, i figured it was all part of the process but i think maybe i put myself through too much. Also my GP wanted to double the dose but i declined as i wanted to start therapy first, i think maybe i should have. They've helped alot of people so trust yourself, and be honest with your GP and hopefully they will help you too. Be mindful of driving, they made me quite sleepy but you sort of get used to it. Having said that ive just gone my first week without taking them and i could probably fall asleep mid sentence! Best of luck, take care xx
