Anxiety UK has announced that its pilot partnership project with Greatvine will end today (Friday 8th March 2013).
In order to facilitate greater access to therapeutic support outside of traditional office hours a partnership between Anxiety UK and Greatvine was forged which saw Anxiety UK therapists (via the Anxiety UK website) offering live therapy by telephone.
As this was a pilot project running for 6 months, a review was undertaken at the end of this timeframe by the Anxiety UK staff team and the board of Trustees which included revising feedback received from Anxiety UK therapists who had participated in the project as well as feedback from individuals who had used the service. The result of the review was that the decision was made not to continue or extend the pilot service and to terminate the existing pilot as of close of business on Friday 8th March 2013.
AnxietyUK would like to thank all therapists who participated in the pilot and for their co-operation throughout the lifespan of the project.
Whilst the Greatvine service will be ending shortly, Anxiety UK recognises that individuals living with anxiety disorders still require prompt access to therapeutic services and over the next two months the charity will be developing a new ‘Fast Access Therapy Service’ which will give individuals access to its approved practitioners within 24 hours.
