Need sleep :(

I didn't sleep well last night just a couple of hours due to the usual physical chest symptoms. I am so tired and really need to sleep but can't switch off. Keep getting pinching pains in chest. Telling myself I've had this now for 3 months so it must be anxiety related but it's still hard xxx

Everything is fine hun , easy for me to say , I no

This will be nothing serious , even though anxiety feels like it , its the fear feeding the anxiety thats the problem

Tell yourself , come on then I have felt you before , you are not going to bother me , your anxiety

Seriously hun , if it was serious , you wouldnt be here by now ;)

Dont force yourself to sleep , read , have some music low , TV low if you have one in the bedroom , find something to distract you , i read till I am so tired , I drop the book or mag on the floor

Hope you get some sleep , remember you are not on your own , think about us lot lol

Love

I have the tightness in my chest. It's the dizzy lightheadedness that is so weird comes on for no reason ( there must be )I totally get the no sleeping, I spend some nights on the sofa with TV on. Anything to distract my head thinking.

Hi Maria,

I get this too and recently I just can't sleep at all. I go to bed so tired but lie awake for hours feeling like my chest is so heavy or that I can't get my breath. When I do shut my eyes it jolts me awake. My bf often wonders why I'm always so tired or grumpy in the morning, when he's had an amazing nights sleep!

I know it's anxiety (although I have no idea why I get it because I'll have been fine during the day) and I just wait for it to pass but I get so sick of feeling muffled and tired. I can't remember the last time I woke up feeling alive and refreshed!

I'll have to start going to bed at about 6:00pm at this rate just to get those hours covered and I might actually get a decent nights sleep!

Hiya, I have this thing on my iPod that I listen to when I'm too wired to relax or sleep. It's one of those relaxation things that talks u into a deep relaxation. Can't recommend enough... The one I use came from a friend but suspect u could get it from amazon or somewhere. Not being able to sleep is the most frustrating thing. Don't put too much pressure on yourself though, and if u don't fall asleep right away, I find it helps to get out if bed, have a walk round for ten mins then try again... Good luck xxx

Sounds good ill have a look. The reason I can't sleep is because ill get my chest symptoms such as the pain and arm pain or missed heart beats but I'm told just to ignore it but it's so hard when I think I'm about to die :( xxx
