Thanks lee how. I have been given an anti - nausea drug to take twice a day but it does not seem to be effective. I make myself eat but it is difficult & I'm always relieved when I can finish. Have lost a lot of weight - & wasn't' overweight before this started. Even when I'm not feeling particularly anxious the thought of food is off putting. I used to enjoy cooking - & eating!

Have done when it's been really bad before i was put on meds it seems now if i'm stressed i get it. But, I feel better when I've eaten something. How strange?

Yes, merlincat. I've had this many a time, like oldhand, I feel better when I eat! However it's a bit of a 'catch 22', because the nausea makes me not want to eat. I try to eat food that is easy to swallow, such as soup or yoghurt, even breakfast cereal helps!

When I felI couldn't eat , like AnnChus, I used to eat soup a lot. It's easy to swallow ,no chewing!!! I don't get nauseous unless I am in extreme anxiety. I have also lost weight and just wish I could be better. Hope you manage with the soup, merlincat. Goood luck.

Ive had this too.... def agree with easy to swallow foods. Feeling sicky makes you loose your appetite too. Try little and often, even dry biscuits & drink lots of water. Hope you feel better soon.... promise it will pass :) x x x x

Yes, nausea is very common in anxiety, but given time and eating little and often, it helps.

My nausea was so bad i used to have my coffee in an egg cup(don't laugh), but I didn't want to start not drinking it, otherwise it would get the better of me.

Think small with to start getting back on track xxx

Thank you everyone for your advice. Eating - even the thought of food - is a big stress for me at present but I am managing to swallow something. Soup is good and fruit and cereal. It is encouraging to know that it could improve - it just seems like a very long dark tunnel. Can you eat now henige?

I have felt nauseous for 7 weeks now, also have terrible ectopic heart beats and feel very tired all the time. I'm sure this is all anxiety but i convince myself constantly that the symptoms are because there is something else wrong and then this is what i am anxious about. Very bad cycle to get into !! I too struggle to face food at times and have had rice krispies for tea a few times, can't even enjoy a glass of wine!! Its rubbish isn't it, i feel like such a loser!!
