I am a migraine sufferer , & yes I get fed up !

I have been checked out & there is nothing happening that is life threatening causing this , which I have to believe

Dont no if or how often you take pain killers for your headaches ? what I did find out was that if we take to many we can get what they call "rebound headches "

So now I take painkillers , but when the pain is bad , this has helped a little & reduced them , even though I still get migraines

Have you been to GP , there are loads of things they can give you , which i wish I could have , but as i have blood pressure & other things I cannot take them myself , (this is a good example that doctors "do no what they are doing " I cant take what some others take because of other problems

If you have been checked believe them , if not go & have a chat , let them put your mind at ease

Having said all this , I really believe , anxiety , is a big cause for lots of headaches , & the more anxious you are the more headaches you seem to get , we are tensing muscles in the face & body with anxiety , sometimes we dont even no we are , then this causes headaches

See if you can see a pattern to them , sometimes certain food & drink can be a cause , different times of the month , i started to make a note & for me along with been anxious it did have a pattern which after a blood test i was going through the change , dont get me wrong every time it happens I worry , I dont like it , but this has been happening for 3 years now , so i have to try & accept it is not serious , as well i get numbness in my face when I get a migraine , which really can be frightening , but again , its 3 years , so i have to work hard & see it for what it is & try not to let my mind take over

Let us no how you go on , you are not alone though with this

Totally agree with whywhy. Headaches are a very common symptom and can cause, in anxiety health sufferers, all sorts of problems. Having seen your GP and been reassured I am sure you will find that a lot of headaches are caused by tension. (Now there is a gem. Talk about stating the obvious!) The neck muscles go into spasm and tighten up the muscles on the scalp. Can be rotten, I know, but just (!!) another symptom. As whywhy says, there are many remedies available as it is such a common complaint. If you feel you need something stronger than ordinary pain killers then your GP will help. Regards. jonathan.

thanks leehow iv had migraines for years but just lately i dont seem to be free of one

Kelly tension wont be helping , see your GP , I am sure there will be nothing wrong , but they can give you support how to deal with them , as I no they are nasty , I get the vision disturbance as well with mine :-(

Try not to worry , will make them worse , make an appointment & get them sorted , i am sure you wont regret it & some of the pressure you are feeling about them will then ease

Let us no how you go on

Try drink lots of water but try avoid pain killers as I found this website for you all as it said pain killers can cause re bound headaches and it might reassure you to read info there. That's good you don't drink caffeine but sleep pattern can disturb and cause headache like sleep too many hours or short, foods and etc but sure its nothing serious.

Try drink 2-3 glass of water from now and hot bath, see if it helps.
