Which vitamins?

Hi, I'm just recovering from Christmas anxiety and was wondering if anyone can recommend a daily vitamin to take? I am aware that these will only be suitable for mild cases of anxiety but thought it worth a try while I'm feeling better. I have seen 5-htp, mood food, St. John's, kalms etc . Thank you x

Hi. Rebeccas. Valerian is supposed to be good for anxiety as is St. Johns Wort for depression, but this does depend on how bad you are. In mild cases of these illnesses vitamins and supplements, together with a healthy diet, can work wonders. But in more severe cases the only resort is to the GP's surgery. Too many people try to self diagnose and treat themselves. A big mistake in my view. Prescribed medication is not ideal but it can get you over a bad patch and give you time to get yourself together. If you are feeling better then the herbal remedies may be fine. Give it a go. The health food shops are only too willing to give advice. Hope you continue to get better. Best wishes. jonathon.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes I know your right really I have some diazepam for the bad patches but never want to give in and take it! My other symptoms have gone for a while but I'm now left with pains in my left arm which I haven't really had before. I feel like over the years I'm working my way through all the different symptoms! Have you been like that? Just hope I can use them to help someone else one day. I have bought some Vit B complex for now. Thanks again Rebecca.

Try magenusium & vitamin b complex as they help with anxiety so give it a try, if it doesn't work within 2-3 weeks then try St. John & valerian? Drink chamomile herbal tea before bed time as it help you to feel calm & relaxing also good sleep!...Good luck hun x

A daily vitamin b complex is a good start. It can help lift the mood and increase energy levels. Good luck!
