Hi. All. I am glad to say that I am now off tablets altogether. I' tapered' from 5mg. to 1mg Diazepam for the past six weeks, and then off. Been OK for the last two weeks but there maybe' setbacks' to which I have the answer in Dr. Weekes teaching. There is still a little background anxiety but not too much to worry about. This is after many years of the miseries! So All, there is Hope. Always Hope.
Bless you all and Love. Thanks for your wonderful blogs and the help. jonathan.
Congratulations Jonathan! brave man! I hope you are not thinking of leaving us to it now? LOL Only joking , you are a lovely man and I am so happy for you. Be careful to keep your stress levels down as much as possible. I wish you well Jonathan...always well! Stick around xxxxxxxxxx much love xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi ellabella. You and many others have contributed to my recovery and I thank you very, very much. No, I won't be leaving because I do feel that our experiences of this diabolical illness can help the poor souls that are still suffering. Bless you ellebella and Love. jonathan.
Wonderful news Jonathan! Your blogs have been a great source of comfort to me and i hope you reamin well in mind and body and never have to return to this god awful minsdet again. Kelly x x xx
Hi. Kellt. Many thanks to all for the kind words. "god awful mindset" just about sums it up. The other one that amused me the other day was "hell on wheels". The way some of us describe this misery is, at times, very poetic. Thank God for a sense of humour! Love to all. jonathan.
Really good news ...........I'd never heard of Dr Weekes until I found this site. I will have to investigate.
I stopped taking my AD's six months ago and just have a few Diazepam on stand by in case I am having a really bad day or am going to a social occasion which is the big baddie for me.
It's been harder without the AD's but I am persisting. Take Care. PL
Hi Pennylane. Another success story. If you are only taking the tablets on rare occasions then you are well on the way to recovery. I have kept a few by just in case. See; I am doing it already. Anticipating. Why do we fall for this every time. But, I suppose, if it helps give us comfort what the hell! By anticipating I KNOW I am sowing the seed for setbacks but old habits die hard!!! Love to you Penny. Blessings. jonathan.
Jonathan it's ok to have a few there 'just in case'. My GP knows that having them as an insurance is half the battle, it's a way of stopping anxiety, knowing that there is something you can do if it gets bad.
At present I do feel the lack of the AD's quite a bit especially as I am taking some other unrelated medication which affects your mood.........I need the support of others at the minute really to stay on the right track and it varies from day to day.
Hi. Pennylayne. You have it. The support. All the time and every day. Bless you. Love.
jonathan.
Hi Jonathan,
How wonderful to hear some good news. I wish you well to be tablet free, but I agree, a few tablets, hidden away, isn't too bad. My friend does the same with cigarettes, there is always a pack around, although suffering with COPD is enough of a deterrent.
Don't stop posting. xx
What lovely news for a lovely person. Glad you are still going to stay on here. You do blog some good things.
Love Lou xx

Hi. lou. Thanks. I feel far from 'a lovely person' at times. Have blogged you in regard to your troubles. Love. jonathan.
