Beta blocker

Hi anyone given beta blocker for anxiety, my Dr has given me some ,x

I didn`t last on them very long didn`t take to them but obviously we`re all different you might be all ok.

I was on 20 mg propranolol twice a day for a couple of months. It slows your heart rate down, I didn't have any problems with it. It is also not addictive and you can come off it pretty quickly if you need to (with a short taper). The only thing you need to be aware of is that it can lower your blood pressure so you have to be careful when getting out of bed quickly etc. Otherwise I didn't notice any significant side effects.

I've been on a beta blocker for about a year for a different condition and it has not changed anything for me for anything but my heart condition

I've been given 10mg only take it wen iam anxious but that's in the morning, I hate tablets

Hi I have bad anxiety but my heart doesn’t beat really fast ! So when I tried beta blocker it slowed it and I was dizzy. My sister however had it when she had a fast heart beat and it slowed it to a normal rate and she was ok. We are all different

Thank you ,iam a bit like you ,my heart doesn't beat too fast I just get very agitated, thank you for replying
