I was prescribed Duloxetine a few months ago by my Dr for Anxiety, Arthritis pain and possible Fibromyalgia. Even though I was still having side effects Headache, feeling dizzy and sick, as well as sweats, ringing in the ears and feeling tired all the time. I continued taking 30 mg. Side effects have not improved. I would like to come off these tablets but made the mistake of reading about how impossible it is to do this. Do any of you have any experience coming off them and advice on how to go about it. I don't want to feel any worse.

Duloxetine
Hi Den I started duloxetine just over 3weeks ago. I've had dry mouth, low grade headache, insomnia, mouth ulcers and swollen tongue, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and nausea and heart burn. The headaches are improving, the mouth ulcers and tongue are better, the diarrhoea is getting better, insomnia improving also cramps improving. I also feel fatigued more. It's difficult because the plus is my neck back and generalised pain from fibromyalgia has improved and I don't have to take codeine all the time
I've been told to persevere as it can take 6weeks or more to feel the benefit fully and for side effects to cease.
I'm on 30mgs but am afraid to go to 60 due to side effects worsening again.
I'm contemplating asking for pregablin as well to help with insomnia
Thank you for your reply Mags6. I too had most of those symptoms . Iv been on the tablets for a few months now. My anxiety is not good when I get up but a lot better later on in the day . During the day if I sit still for 2 long I could go to sleep at the drop of a hat. My daughter said I am generally more relaxed. But the tablets don't seem to improving my pain. I don't want to go on 60 mg because if the side affects come back worse iv heard these tablets are very difficult to get off. Hope they start to work well for you. I don't know about you but I just want toive my life as best as I can.
