Hey so I know a lot of members on here are scared about the side effects or just what it would do to your mind now I’m on .5 mg of Clonzepam(klonopin)
I want to just give you a quick rundown of how it made me feel now everyone is different so we’re going to experience a little bit of different stuff what I do want to tell you first and foremost is that I have a very close family friend who prescribes medications and is an MP I’m pretty sure that’s medical practitioner not too sure don’t quote me on that but I just know the abbreviation MP anyway I asked her if it was a safe drug and I know she would never steer me in the wrong direction especially since she’s One of our greatest ALS providers for my ambulance department now she said that most common thing that people experience with Clonopin is drowsiness and lack of wanting to eat so I tried it today
Here’s what I’ve experienced here’s what I’ve experienced
I put my mind to it that I would do it on a day off now I took in at 2:22 and I didn’t feel it kick in until about 45 minutes to an hour as as soon as the our past I definitely felt very relaxed very mellow are usually have a lot of road rage when I drive and so I took a test drive after about two hours yourself and I was more calm and more relaxed but I do not recommend driving while taking this as I definitely felt a little different behind the wheel I felt more sluggish and more actually a little too calm I was more focused and my thoughts were just thought they would come in they would go while without taking it my thoughts would come and create more thoughts and create more issues so to conclude this long paragraph
The coming down affects I feel a little drowsyer but This could be because my sleep schedule was very off last night due to volunteering in my find apartment I was up until 3 AM and didn’t go to sleep until four then woke up at five to an ambulance call and then went back to sleep till seven then went to sleep at eight and woke up at one in the afternoon so that could be that other than that I will not be using this medication as a daily dosage it’s going to be more is only as I need to as a last resort
This could be because my sleep schedule was very off last night due to volunteering in my firedepartment I was up until 3 AM and didn’t go to sleep until four then woke up at five to an ambulance call and then went back to sleep till seven then went to sleep at eight and woke up at one in the afternoon so that could be that other than that I will not be using this medication as a daily dosage it’s going to be more is only as I need to as a last resort
The last thing I want to say is it took longer to kick in but it had more of a longer lasting at around 7 o’clock I started feeling it wear off so from 222 until 7 o’clock that’s a pretty good amount of time for to kick in and stay in
I have zero issues and little to no side effects but i felt like I could relate it to marijuana just because of how calming it was but with out the bad stuff and the munchies
I hope this helps those who are worried about taking the medication!

Basically what I got out of this, is one had better have a regular driving and sleep schedule if taking this med or you may not know if is helping or not or whether you are fully focused . Your schedule, sleep, and driving times are erratic due to your lifestyle, work, which I understand. Thanks for taking the time to give your day's diary on this med.xx
What I was trying to say was the medication deffintely helped it did everything to calm down
The coming off was a bit harder because i was very tired due to the eratic schedule I had for saturday morning into sunday morning
I did a test run on the medication which was perfect because today I was off since 8 I was very nervous but it helped me calm down once it kicked in
All in all the medication works wonders but i can see why it is classified as highly addictive
The side effects I encountered were just drowsiness and lack of appetite
The drosiness wasnt bad though and wore off
The coming down was more drowsiness and that is simply all I have experienced
The best thing with this medication is to just not drive while taking the medication and to remember to eat even if it is a little at a time you may not feel hungry but you will be hungry
The medication removes the over stimulation of your nervous system which really helped me out with my over active mind
So for those who have constant racing thoughts this medication really helped calm it down
I do how ever feel if you take this medication daily the euphoric, nerve relaxing sensation will be reduced over time but ifyou take it like I would that feeling stands and is very strong
This medication givs you a semi “high” meaning you feell very good for the time it takes until it wears off almost like marijuana minus the racing heart and the munchies
Please if those who have addictions take this pill please please please have someone regulate how much you take! When you take it as well
.5mg was STRONG i cannot imagine anything higher
I advise if you know your gonna have anxiety during what ever it is your gonna do for the day I suggest taking the medication one hour before the trip or what ever as it will not kick in like xanax (20 minutes)
Thanks for taking the time to go over that, kevoreally. Appreciate it. A substitute for alprazolam would be welcomed but appears both are rather delicate to watch due to the addictive factor. Thanks again.
Go on to a benzodiazepine withdrawal site and see what people (10s of thousands) have to say about this poison. Its not what it does to you in one dose, or many weeks or months. Its what it can do to you for YEARS trying to get off it. It ruined my life, plain and simple. Doctors and practitioners don't know that much about drugs, I don't care what you say. I come from a family of 3 pharmacists. I now see a doctor of pharmacy in my clinic rather than my gp for prescriptions. I never had problems with benzos or any other until I was given klonopin.
Luckily I only take it as needed and the odds of being addicted or having those issues are slim but yes I have known about this before hand thank you though
Like Kevor said, we are all different in our reactions to treatments. I’ve been on Xanax/Clonopin for about 2 1/2 years now and have had nothing but good results. Just make sure you are careful with all your treatments. You never know.
