My first thought is medication, just to get you some relief to be able to function. Small dose and frequency of Ativan, Valium, klonopin or Xanax won't get you addicted if you don't rely on it routinely. I get 5 tabs of very low dose klonopin just to know I have something if it got too bad.Get a therapist to work with you on how your thoughts can influence your emotions, and how many times our thoughts are wrong, but we believe they are true. Lots of help and hope available. You can get better if you are willing to work at it, and you deserve to feel more than anxiety and fear.
There is a lot of good info on youtube about dealing with panic/anxiety, you might check out the DARE Anxiety youtubes and even the book and another good youtuber is Paige Pradko for ways to deal with it. Anxiety/panic is essentially a paradox and the more you struggle with it and fight it just makes it persist so learning constructive ways to desensitize yourself and realizing that the anxious thoughts are lies is the way to heal. Medication can also be helpful at least temporarily to lessen the anxiety and let you gradually get use to the anxious feelings. You can definitely recover from it but you have to make the commitment and effort.
