Does anyone else deal with major anxiety whenever you’re alone? Could this be separation anxiety on top of my GAD? Every time my fiancé leaves I want to cry. I hate him being gone without me, but I’ve also been hating to just be alone in general. I like to have someone around me that I can trust and it seems to give me some confidence that I’m gonna be okay because if something is wrong I can tell them and we can figure something out. It’s mainly when my fiancé isn’t around, but it still kicks my butt when I am home alone and don’t have someone there with me.

Anxiety when you’re alone.
I am the same way! I especially hate driving anywhere alone, especially when I’m not near a hospital or don’t know where the closest one is.
I used to have this for years but I was suffering from agrophobia at the time but one day I just got tired of begging my husband not to go to work, the crying outbursts were not fair on him I just had to be strong and change my thoughts. I started college over 3 years ago that gave me confidence I'm now doing my degree year plenty to keep me distracted Netflix in the background is a big life saver do you have anything going on during the day? I find having too much time to think is the worst that's why college and now uni has been a life saver I'm in 3 days a week and have 2 days in myself and by the point I now love having time alone! And my husband is a much happier person also 😊 it's a hard road but soooo worth it!
I spend a lot of time in prayer when I am alone. I have to let things go and know the God is control. I don't have to worry. One of my favorite verses that I say over and over is Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything but with prayer and petition present your request to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If I remember that I am not the one in control, most things are out of my control, but if I lean on God everything will be OK. I just recently read this article - leaning on what you know instead of what you feel. Here is the link - bit.ly/2pb5jTm. You should also watch her videos online - bit.ly/328OAim. She is a depression and anxiety conqueror. We all are. Love you my sweet friend and will continue to be praying for you. God Bless~
How are you doing this week? I have been praying for you.
I appreciate that so much. You’re so kind ❤️ I’ve been doing a little better. Just trying to take baby steps and ease my way into things. I’ve also been picking up some small hobbies that will keep my mind busy, so it’s been pretty helpful.
So happy you are feeling a bit better and taking baby steps. I love that you are finding small hobbies. I agree keeping your mind busy can be very helpful. What also helps me is helping others. So if I have a neighbor or someone who needs help around the house, I will come by to help. Helping others not only helps them but helps ourselves. I will continue to be praying for you. You are on the path to healing. God is with you. Hugs!
