Hi, Trainchaser. I have been at the same place you are w/ being so anxious that I couldn't sleep. My mind kept going and going. The thing that (still) helps me, is to have the TV on. I know some say it will keep you up, but for me, it has helped. I also find that reading or playing a game on my cell phone makes me tired. I know, too, that a lot people (mostly professionals), say that the blue light (I think that's right ??) from cell phones is not good before bed, but as I said, it helps me fall asleep.
I really hope you can find something that works for you. I know it doesn't feel good to not sleep. It's frustrating, too.

Still not sleeping well. Cell phone or mediation helps me. Physically when I am not right it effects me mentally. Right know I ha e pain in my left sfirst ide from my belt buckle. See the doc tomorrow

Doctor was postponed due to weather side feeling better having a growth on my chest tested for cancer

Got the growth removed today. Will know in 7 to 10 days what it is. Side much better as well . Now the mental health.....

I also have suffered with anxiety most of my life and am your same age. It does interfere with sleep and I find the Insight Timer App a good tool for gentle music and meditation sessions. Also great info there. Listening to podcasts is helpful, too. I wish you peace.💕
