It can take 4 - 6 weeks for it to take affect so try to relax some and realize that you are hyper-focusing on it and your anxiety is making you more anxious. Anxiety is a paradox and the more you focus on it and try to make it go away the more it persists so try to just get on with your day, I do know it's easier said than done but it is the way it works. I also found meds helped my anxiety become more manageable but did not eliminate it, what helped me was learning what it really is and how to constructively deal with it. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos very helpful for it, they also have a facebook group that is helpful. The other thing is that once your meds start working again and you are stable, think twice before quitting them again, it could very well be that your body needs them in order for you to function optimally and as long as you aren't having any severe side affects there is no reason to not continue to take them. I quit mine once and will never do it again.
thanks very much for the advice, i will look at the Dare anxiety stuff. I will never quit the medication again if I get stable , I thought I was being really heroic , big mistake.
Your 100% correct the more you want it the further away it gets
You're welcome, hope you find it helpful. Let me know if you have any questions/comments about it. I even signed up for their premium phone app version for a while, it was like having my own private coach when I was going through a rough patch.
