Be aware there are bad side effects that could occur … benefits also though. It is advised to take 50 -100 to start with. I’ve not taken it myself, just read about it.

Weight management: 250–300 mg, 30 minutes prior to a meal (7Trusted Source).Mood enhancement: 50–100 mg, 3 times per day with meals. Use for at least one week to notice a beneficial effect (20Trusted Source).

Fibromyalgia symptom relief: 100 mg, 3–4 times per day with meals. Use for at least two weeks to notice a beneficial effect (28Trusted Source).

Migraines: 100–200 mg, 2–3 times per day with meals. Use for two to three weeks to notice a beneficial effect (33Trusted Source).

Thank you for the info. I am being very careful and starting at a low dose of only 50 mg for anxiety.

I tried it a few years ago. I looked at my notes and don't seem to have the does recorded. It did not help my anxiety and, if anything, made me feel a little weird. At this time I am on a SNRI antidepressant. Best of luck in finding what works for you.

Thank you for sharing. I am on Luvox for anxiety but there has been no help at all and my phsiciatrist has sort of written me off as the daily fear and worry doesn't respond to any thing he has suggested. I'm rather desperate.

Sorry to hear that and it sounds very frustrating. Perhaps try another psychiatrist if that is an option.

In Ontario over 10,000 are without family drs or specialists. Its a real mess. We haven't had a MD in over a year.

That's not good. Possibly you might find some info at adaa.org that helps you deal with your anxiety. Best wishes.

You might want to check out the book, "The anti-anxiety food solution" by Trudy Scott, it has a lot of good information about supplements and diet for mood balancing.
