I want you to know you’re not alone. I experience the same thing.
I'm no expert, sounds like you are overthinking. Your mind is to busy. I have this problem sometimes.

Thankyou
Hi Saz, anxiety is a horrible cruel condition. Try to ignore it and not let it beat you, ( easier said than done) Your mind is playing games with you. With time and accepting it's just your over active mind, your anxiety may just melt away. Deep slow breathing and relaxation are also a good help especially when you feel a panic coming on. All the best to you, I know how debilitating anxiety can be.
Get checked for Lyme disease. I was told all my problems were anxiety for 2 years and prescribed all kinds of meds. 2 years later when I thought I was dying a doctor finally checked and discovered Lyme disease.
Thankyou
Hi Saz12345 - So happy for you in that your test results have come back as normal. Meaning there is nothing physically causing your problems. Be happy with that result. But also be aware that many millions of people worldwide share the symptoms of anxiety you have - including myself, I have done for more that 40 years. I can go weeks, months, and once or twice more than a year without experiencing these devastating feelings in my head, body, mind. Suddenly they reappear without rhyme or reason. It is time now, for YOU to take back control over your body, (and mind.) Try to find ways and means to discover what the reason is that is affecting you - remember also we - around the world, although I like you live in UK - have experienced a pandemic of epic proportions. COVID - which has obliterated our normal living, and we are in the process of moving on and finding a 'new normal' We either swim and go with the new, or we sink and drown, the choice is our own. My advice is for you to try and discover: a) what may trigger your episodes of anxiety, - it could be, something unresolved from your past, some kind of food, alcohol, drugs - either prescription or illicit. Maybe a current relationship going awry. Once you have discovered this pursue ways of coming to terms with whatever the cause is - You can do this by finding a facilitator, counsellor, friend, Christian or other Minister, good friend whom you trust, someone who will listen to you, and enable you on your journey. b) Find a way to control what is happening, something to take your mind off what is going on. Join a help group, take up a new hobby. Anything that will take your mind off what is happening to you. c) Are you a member of a of a church, if yes, pray, ask others to pray for you, they don't need to know why, but prayer IS a powerful tool. I certainly shall pray for you. You may not know GOD, but He knows you, and wants only that which will lead to your healing and wholeness. GOD loves every one of us, regardless how they feel about Him. Throughout your life you will continue to have these blips, do you want to feel as you do whenever they happen? If not, it is up to you. I am 74 and have overcome anxiety, breast cancer, stroke, many other traumas in my life, mastectomy at 45, obesity, depression - tablets are not the answer - though I don't advocate coming off without seeing doctor - I was in such a state that I was still in bed at 5.00pm most days, calling my children up for school, as they were coming home from school having gotten themselves up 10 hours earlier. I missed so much. Get that grip on your life and take control! If you need any extra help do please contact me through this page and I will do everything to help you become a survivor as I am a survivor
Saz I'm so sorry to hear how you feel anxiety is just such a horrible thing and causes so many different symptoms Remember it's the adrenaline rushing through your body and that's all it can't hurt you If you can practice as much relaxation- deep breathing- mindfulness as you can There are such lovely relaxation videos on You Tube eventually you will get to the point where you will lose your fear of the symptoms
As Adam says you are not alone and you can and will get better
Take care xx
It helped me a lot to learn what anxiety really is and what was going on with my mind and body, educating yourself about it can start to make it easier to deal with it. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos very helpful and also the book At last a life and beyond by Paul David.
Thankyou so much xx
Hi Saz12345 - I have already replied to your post and still stand by all that I said. However I do look out for any snippets of information concerning anxiety, and self help. So for you and for everyone else I have ever responded to on this forum I would like to share with you something I was drawn to during worship on Sunday. I had been reading my Bible and kept getting a feeling of checking the medical page in the Sunday Paper. This is what I found:
STUCK IN A FOG? YOU'RE NOT ALONE
'IS ANYONE else feeling a bit foggy-headed at the moment? I certainly am - constantly forgetting where I put my keys and struggling to focus on simple tasks. I was glad to read last week that I am not alone. A study by researchers at the University of Oxford found a 'worrying' rise in incidences of brain fog following COVID. The scientists have linked this to the infection itself, but I am convinced it's the result of the miserable lockdowns and social restrictions. Even now, more than two years on, work and some social activities remain disrupted for many of us. It is no surprise that the biggest change to our daily lives in decades has made us all a bit discombobulated (disturbed). So go easy on yourself if you're not as sharp as you were pre-Covid - we're all in the same boat.'
This was written by a medic who has a regular slot. She is usually accurate and helpful. Looking back over my life (I am nearing 75 now) I can remember a) the Polio Pandemic b) the Asian Flu of the mid-sixties, and c) the Smallpox pandemic. I was very young during all three, but did feel a 'knock-on' effect at the time. I don't think we were affected by any of these as much as the COVID years. My thoughts now for you and for others is, take some time to think about when your anxiety began, was it pre-Covid? If it was, examine your life prior to the pandemic. If it was after COVID - even if you did not knowingly have this condition, concentrate on how you coped at the time, and if you so wish, try prayer, asking GOD to reveal to you anything that may be holding you back, and what you can do to release the hold. COVID/CORONA VIRUS was an attack on our way of life. It has stopped all of us in our tracks, confused and confounded us. Long COVID - even people who did not have Covid itself may have or have had Long Covid, and it may take years to completely leave our systems. It gives us symptoms such as are recorded on this forum, not pleasant, but we can overcome and learn to live with it. It is a good way forward. I hope this is helpful to you and anyone else out there in need of reassurance.
I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you have depersonalization? Bcuz I do too and it won't let me concentrate, brain feels foggy and feels like I'm not in my body. Also try not to use your phone too much,I've learned that if you have anxiety and you use your phone a lot,the screen brightness or just your phone makes it worse. Bcuz anxiety stressed out your brain and due to it you can experience brain fog, bad eyesight, can't concentrate, so using your phone too much can make it even worse. I'm just speaking from my experience. If I stay up too late or use my.pgone a lot my symptoms worsen
