Seretonin syndrome.?

My doctor wants me to come off my chlomipramine antidepressant because it’s old and because I’ve been on it 23 years he thinks it’s stopped working for me as I feel so anxious, and to take Duloxetiene aswell. I read where you shouldn’t take both as it can lead to seretonin syndrome. I have been taking one Duloxetiene tablet 30mgvin the morning and 25mg of Clomipramine at night for the past 3 days. I feel dreadful. So dizzy and drowsy yet the doctor said it’s safe.

I don’t know what to do now.

Should I just take clomipramine and wean myself off gradually and then start taking the Duloxetiene or what?

Please help.

I think you should let your doctor know. And ive called a pharmacist and asked them their opinion, they know more about drugs than doctors. It could be the effects of weaning off of one of them. It takes a new one a while to get in your system.
