Buspar concern

I took a 15mg buspar and it didn’t stop my panic attack and felt like I was going to have to call 911 so I had to take my 2nd to last alprazolam .5.

It was switched because it was controlled and addictive and not my choice but regardless I got bad feeling about this weekend that I’m going to feel another heart attack.

I have tried so many SSRIs/SNRIs, at least 5 or 6 (including buspar), and ALL of them have induced a panic attack. I can't take any of them and doctors don't want to give the only thing that actually helps me, benzos (lorazepam .5 at the moment).

I know it takes time to get used to them, but it seems impossible for me.

This doesn't really help you, but I feel your pain. Just know that it is most likely NOT a heart attack (I don't know your history), but anxiety/panic that is causing those feelings.

Maybe ask your doctor to refill the alprazolam until you can get used to the buspar. Or don't take it at all if it makes things worse. Don't take my advice though, I am not a doctor.

I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. I can surely relate because I also suffer from anxiety. I was given Buspar and Hydroxyzine for anxiety. They did NOTHING for me. They didn't even ease the anxiety even a little bit. I was on 1 mg. Alprazolam and that really helped me when I needed it. My brilliant psychiatrist decided that he wanted to wean me off of it because he doesn't like his patients on any controlled substances.Well, I dumped him and am looking for another provider! I could see if I was abusing them, WHICH I WASN'T, but he took me off the ONLY thing that helped me.😡 Maybe he should try living with this AWFUL feeling every day! 😡
